Hughes Helps Raise Over $15K for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

Great things can be accomplished when a community comes together for a great cause.

Every year, Hughes Federal Credit Union joins Credit Unions for Kids in helping raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and this year’s participation was an amazing success. Thanks to the generous donations from members, staff and the community, Hughes was able to raise a total of $7,511, beating last year’s total by $5,632! The donations were also matched through the philanthropic matching program, CO-OP Miracle Match, which brought the combined total up to $15,022. 

The funds generated will go to help our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Tucson Medical Center. The funds are used to purchase equipment like ventilators and monitors for the intensive care nursery, chair-beds for parents to stay overnight with their child, isolettes for transporting ill newborns and car seats for TMC’s loaner program. 

The familiar Children’s Miracle Network balloon icon was sold at every Hughes branch. Every $1 CMNH icon sold was then entered into a raffle to win a themed gift basket, put together by Hughes staff.
