We believe in giving back

Hughes Federal Credit Union believes in giving back to the community we serve. Our service mission to “Always Make a Positive Difference in Each Member’s Financial Life” spans beyond the realm of just providing our members with money-saving services and products, but also serving as the core objective of our Community Service/Involvement projects under our Hughes Helps program. Every year, Hughes looks to help numerous local organizations that are just as dedicated to improving the overall well-being of our community as we are, with financial support, giveaway items, adult and youth financial education, and much more. In 2017, we provided more than $120,000 in support to over 100 different local organizations like the Arizona KidCats, the AZ Financial Face-Off, Pima County JTED (Joint Technical Education District), United Way and the Community Food Bank.

If your organization or group would like to request a sponsorship or donation, please submit a request through our sponsorship request form. Given our longstanding history with the Tucson community and our focus on education, please note that preference is given to organizations/charities that:

  • Promote youth and adult financial literacy

  • Focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)

  • Provide business development opportunities

To ensure necessary review and processing time, requests must be received at least sixty (60) days prior to an associated support deadline.

Unfortunately Hughes does not provide sponsorship/donations to individuals. Only verified organizations/groups making requests will be considered. Special consideration will be given to first responders and military.

Submitting a request does not ensure its fulfillment. As an institution serving all of Southern Arizona, we receive more requests for support than we are able to grant. Please note that declining a request does not imply that the applicant organization is not valued or worthy of support.
