The Credit Union Difference

Since 1952, Hughes has been committed to making a positive difference in our members' financial lives. We take our members further by offering an exceptional service experience. We offer low-cost products and services, including one low rate on loans, higher dividends on savings, convenient online and mobile services, and more. Hughes will help you reach your financial goals.

You're a Member, not a Customer. When you join Hughes, you're part of a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned by and accountable to the members who save and borrow here. Credit unions are different than banks – we exist to serve our members. Instead of paying stockholders, we return our profits to members through higher savings rates, lower loan rates, interest-earning checking, and fewer and lower fees.

Benefits of Hughes Membership

  1. Fewer & Lower Fees. We have FREE checking with no minimum balance and no monthly fee. FREE Bill Pay. FREE eStatements. Unlimited Check Writing. And more!
  2. One Low Rate on Loans. We don’t switch loan rates based on your credit score. The rates we offer are simply one rate for all approved applicants. Save money and lower your monthly payment with our fixed or adjustable rates.
  3. High-Yield Accounts. Experience unparalleled returns with our Prestige Money Market Savings and our limited-time 17 Month Jumbo Certificate Account (CD) – both offering some of the highest rates in the state.
  4. Branches & ATMs. Hughes has conveniently located branches in Southern Arizona and we are part of the CO-OP Shared Branch Network giving you access to 5,000 other locations and the CO-OP ATM Network with nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs.
  5. Hughes Helps. We give back to our community through charitable donations, sponsorships, scholarships, and financial education.
