Hughes Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated volunteer to fill one (1) position on our Supervisory Committee – an opportunity to help protect member interests, ensure financial integrity, and uphold regulatory compliance.

About the Supervisory Committee Role

Appointed by the Board of Directors, the independent Supervisory Committee plays a vital role in audits, risk management, and governance, ensuring the credit union operates with financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls. The committee works separately from the Board to safeguard member assets and uphold operational accountability. Members serve a three-year unpaid term and oversee annual financial audits conducted by an independent CPA firm. They also support risk management and contribute to the credit union’s long-term stability and growth. 

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for engaged, detail-oriented individuals who:

  • Have been a Hughes Primary Member for at least six (6) months
  • Are in good financial and personal standing
  • Are 18 years or older
  • Can attend monthly in-person meetings in Tucson, Arizona (travel costs are not reimbursed)
  • Are committed to fulfilling assigned duties
