Yes! Log in to Hughes and go to Accounts > Open Account.
The fastest way is to log into online banking then click the "Order Checks" link next to your checking account under the Account Summary tab. You may also call our Contact Center at (520) 794-8341 or visit a branch.
You can set up Overdraft Protection from your Main Share Savings or Daily Savings which will automatically transfer funds to your checking if it is overdrawn. You can also apply for an overdraft Line of Credit.
Yes, but before you cancel, be sure to check out all the benefits Checking PLUS has to offer. Members that use the benefits actually save money over and above the monthly fee. If you want to proceed with cancellation, call our Contact Center at 520-794-8341 or visit a branch.
It is withdrawn on the 5th of the month.
Yes! With a Hughes Debit card, the funds in your Checking PLUS account can be accessed at any ATM. Access our Find a Branch/ATM locator to find ATMs near you.

If you would like to add a new joint owner to your existing membership you have several options:
*APY = Annual Percentage Yield. Checking Account dividends compounded daily and credited monthly except where notated. The Dividend Rates and Annual Percentage Yield (APY) are variable rates. Dividends are based on the Credit Union's earnings at the end of a dividend period and cannot be declared in advance. Rates and terms are subject to change at any time. Please contact the Credit Union for further information.
A $4.95 monthly fee applies after enrollment. You may cancel any time by contacting the credit union by phone at 520-794-8341, through secure email form, or in person at any Hughes branch location. Third-party fees may apply. Fees may reduce earnings.
1The Cellular Care Coverage Plan automatically begins 30 days from your date of enrollment. To be eligible for Cellular Care Coverage, your monthly cellular phone bill must be paid using your Hughes Checking PLUS account. The plan will cover damage repair costs up to $600.00 per membership account per lifetime on phone two (2) years old or less.
2Your Restoration Rescue® coverage is automatic. Coverage begins 10 business days from the date of your enrollment for all eligible account owners.
3Checks can be requested at any branch location within the first 90 days of account opening.
