Individual & Family Financial Management

It can be daunting buying a house, paying for college, starting a business or saving for a secure retirement.  We're here to make your money work for you.  Create a plan with us through our individual and family financial management.

Paying for College

We have a variety of savings plans available to help you, your child or grandchild pay for college, including 529 Plans, Coverdell Education Savings Accounts and UTMAs.

Employment Transition

If you or a family member is laid off from work, take advantage of our Employment Transition course, which will show you how to efficiently cut costs and provide information on resources to get you through this difficult time.

Estate Planning

A sound estate plan can help you preserve wealth during your lifetime, as well as minimize your future estate tax liability.  It will also facilitate the transfer of assets to future generations according to your wishes.  There are many tools and techniques available to pursue your goals; however, the complex nature of many estate-planning strategies calls for a team of trusted advisors, including an attorney and a tax professional which we can refer you to.

Investment Analysis

We can provide strategies that may assist you in growing your assets or providing income.  We focus on a balance of investments that you feel most comfortable with and examine your specific investment goals.  We also diversify your investments among different asset groups to counter the negative effects of specific market cycles and evaluate the impact those investments will have on your objectives.

Not putting all your eggs in one basket is a sound investment strategy.  There is no guarantee that a diversified portfolio will enhance overall returns or outperform a non-diversified portfolio.  Diversification does not ensure against market risk.  No strategy assures success or protects against loss.

Risk Management

It's critical your family is financially protected and your retirement assets preserved.  Through life insurance, long-term care insurance and disability insurance, you and your family will be protected.

The appropriate life insurance policy can help preserve the assets that you spent years accumulating.  As things change in your life, the amount and type of insurance you need may also change.  When you re-evaluate your financial plan (at least once a year), also re-evaluate your insurance needs and the coverage you have.  Insurance is not only for your beneficiaries, but can also be used as an investment vehicle during your life time. Insurance can provide tax deferral for you and a tax-free death benefit.
