This position supports the goals and objectives of the marketing department in relation to the Credit Union’s strategic plan and mission. Provides support with regards to marketing, business development, advertising, public relations and community relations. Responsible for project coordination between Marketing and Digital Marketing departments to ensure completion of goals, projects, campaigns, etc. Assists Marketing Manager in acquisition, management and retention of relationships with community partners and vendors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

35% - Administers and coordinates projects campaigns, business development, annual meeting and other fundraising tasks using department management system. Performs all administrative duties for department including meeting minutes and set up, processing invoices, creating, assigning and updating tasks in multiple projects. Organizes data and submits monthly reports to manager. Keeps team up to date with marketing systems by researching, setting up training's and other communication. Handles copying/filing/scanning duties, ordering stocking, mailing, etc.

30% - Follows up with internal departments, vendors, community partners, business partners, etc. Schedules appointments, meetings and reservations as needed. Responsible for internal and external communication for Hughes Scholarship Program, annual fundraisers, major events, etc. Updates Marketing briefs, monthly statement and on hold messaging. Serves as main point of contact in Marketing for all credit union personnel.

25% - Oversees internal and external communication of all sponsorship/donation requests and follow up. Fulfills company wide requests for all marketing materials. Responsible for keeping the storage rooms inventoried, updated and well organized. Orders branded marketing giveaways.

5% - Maintains display cases at branches. Conducts quarterly branch visits to ensure lobbies and branches have current marketing materials, signage, etc. and reports on status.

5% - Performs other related duties as assigned.

  4. Ability to provide prudent decisions based on sound knowledge and independent judgement.

  6. To deliver planned results within budget, on time with thorough communication and reporting.  
  7. Knowledgeable about all Credit Union products, services and policies        
  8. To assist the department in achieving an internal service survey score of 4.75 or greater.


Two to five years of similar or related experience.


Equivalent to a two-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, etc. Four-year college degree preferred.


  • Solid written, verbal communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience with Asana or other project management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, learning new systems and knowledge of general office equipment.
  • Comfortable with shifting demands, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Takes initiative, thinks creatively, problem solves and works with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in group settings by collaborating with co-workers.
  • Technologically savvy.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Good project and time management skills.

Courtesy, tact, collegiality and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside the organization, vendors, members and non-members.
