Fixed Annuities
A fixed annuity is an investment contract in which the provider (issuing insurance company) guarantees a fixed interest rate for a specified amount of time and monies grow tax deferred. Essentially annuities are tax defferred retirement savings plans, designed to provide an income stream.
Equity Index Annuities An annuity whose returns are based upon the performance of an equity market index , such as the S&P 500 , DJIA , or Nasdaq . The principal investment is protected from losses in the equity market, while gains add to the annuity's returns.
